Employee Profile: Lexi Babineau

May 22, 2025

Lexi Babineau brings three years of valuable experience in the manufacturing industry, a journey that began with her education at the Porter and Chester Institute trade school. Her hands-on learning there accounted for one year of her industry experience, while the remaining years were built during her tenure at Siftex Equipment Company from 2020 to 2022.

Before joining Siftex, Lexi worked on both the design and production teams at a printing company, where she developed a strong foundation in precision work and quality control. That role closely mirrors her current responsibilities at Siftex, allowing her to gain expertise in managing projects from concept through production — a complete, detail-driven process that shaped her into the meticulous professional she is today.

Current Role at Siftex

Lexi currently serves as a Production Technician at Siftex, a role she returned to in March 2025 after previously working at the company for two years. Her primary responsibilities center on drafting and designing, but her work spans the entire production cycle. She is deeply involved in creating cut files, cutting materials, assisting in manufacturing, and ensuring every piece meets Siftex’s high-quality standards.

One of Lexi’s proudest current projects focuses on improving the workflow for frequently manufactured parts, streamlining the design, cutting, and welding processes to efficiently build stock inventory. This initiative promises to reduce lead times, boost organization, and elevate Siftex’s overall productivity — a challenge Lexi embraces as a way to help the company reach new heights.

Skills and Expertise

Three words Lexi uses to describe herself at work are: organized, adaptable, and creative. Her versatility is one of her greatest strengths, and she leverages her prior experience as a welder to enhance her design work, seeing each project from the perspective of both creator and designer. This dual lens allows her to anticipate challenges and deliver solutions that are both innovative and practical.

Career Development

Lexi is passionate about staying sharp in her field, often collaborating with her department to brainstorm ways to improve productivity and enhance product quality. Her love for drafting and design traces back to her first CAD course at the age of 14, which sparked a passion for the mathematical and problem-solving aspects of design — much like solving a puzzle.

At Siftex, Lexi finds fulfillment in a career where there’s no single “correct” process; every designer brings a unique approach, and working together opens doors to new techniques and fresh insights. This spirit of learning and collaboration perfectly aligns with her career goals, as she continues to refine her craft and grow within a role she truly enjoys.

Personal Interests and Values

Outside of work, Lexi enjoys reading, solving puzzles, drawing, and practicing yoga. In the workplace, she values organization, collaboration, and efficiency, which she believes are the cornerstones of a successful and satisfying work environment.

Lexi is deeply motivated by the sense of purpose her work brings; having a structured schedule and a workplace she genuinely enjoys fuels both her professional and personal drive. Beyond her career, she takes pride in her volunteer work at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and hospitals — activities that reflect her passion for spreading hope and positivity wherever she goes.
